RIYADH: Lightsource BP, Europe’s largest solar developer, is collaborating with Portuguese company Dourogas to deliver eight hydrogen projects, CNBC reported.
Under the terms of the deal, Lightsource BP will provide Dourogas with solar facilities to power their pre-developed electrolyzers.
Green hydrogen produced in the process will be injected into the Portuguese gas grid.
A €5 million ($5.6 million) grant from the EU’s Portugal 2020 fund facilitated the first project binding the partnership.
