DUBAI: Japan and Saudi Arabia will hold the fifth Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 ministerial meeting online on Dec. 15, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced.

The meeting will establish a framework of cooperation between the Kingdom’s National Debt Management Center, Ministry of Finance and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI.)

Hiroshi Kajiyama, METI minister, and Khalid Al-Falih, the Kingdom’s investment minister, will also join the online meeting.

According to METI, in addition to a presentation on blue ammonia shipments, key initiatives will include cooperation on finance and a special economic zone (SEZ).

A memorandum of cooperation will be signed shortly after the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 meeting gets underway.

The meeting will also conclude a loan agreement, insured by NEXI, between Japan’s commercial banks and the Saudi finance ministry.

The agreement will promote the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 and encourage economic development in Saudi Arabia, according to METI.
