RIYADH: The United Arab Bank has named Shirish Bhide as its new chief executive officer, following the departure of Ahmad Abu Eideh earlier this year.
With over 30 years of banking experience, prior to joining UAB, Bhide was group head of corporate, commercial and international banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank, the National reported.
The appointment comes as the bank pursues its digital transformation strategy and at a time when lenders in UAE are showing improved profitability.
